We spent years in suburban dungeons with shag carpets & flocked wallpaper, the ghosts of 50s dreams of alcoholic paradises lingering in the shadows & in those dungeons, with our root beer & pizza, we explored an imaginary world that seemed more real than going to school & waiting to see what would happen as we trundled along on the path to gainful employment. At least taking up a sword & wandering the land was meeting destiny, while being slowly, painfully sorted by a system that didn't care about us, well it still seems hellish.
